ABOUT RC

My name is RYAN CHU or RC, I am from Northeastern part of Sarawak, Malaysia a coastal town called Miri. I am the owner of RC Wanderlust.

So here’s my story, I used to be a Mechanical Engineer and officially left the industry in 2016. After since I left my job, I constantly traveled solo then soon became a fulltime  backpacker/traveler and now also a full time tour organizer/planner whatever you named it. It was not an easy decision to leave my job and just go travel, as I am not coming from a wealthy family. But I made travel as my life top priority and working hard to make it possible.

My first solo backpacking was after my University graduation, it was year 2013 and the first country that I went was Vietnam.  Throughout the years, my curiosity to explore around the world still remains the same. I enjoy traveling alone and visiting to some of the most stunning and off beaten destinations in the world.  Since 2013 till now, I went to more than 30 countries and still counting. It’s never about how many places that I’ve travelled, it’s all about how much memories I’ve gained throughout the journey. The sweet, the bitter and the sour memories, all can be a laughable flashbacks in the future.

In year 2016, I frequently shared my travel contents, itineraries and stories, so this is how RC Wanderlust started. As for the idea of running a tour business came up around year 2017 and my first group tour was in year 2018 where I had my first tour to Iceland, more tours slowly picked up from there since then.
